As to the show, it was a tremendous success!!! Jeff had the audience rolling as soon as the first words came out of his mouth! He gave us a show that exceeded our grandest expectations and we couldn't have been happier. Jeff is very gracious and we were very impressed by him in every way. I am looking forward to the release of Apostles of Comedy. Please let me know when and how to order that DVD. Jeff told us a little about it and I know there are many who would like to own their own copy.

The evening went off beyond our expectations ending with a standing ovation for Jeff. The Comedy presentation was tremendous, and I appreciate the fact he didn't "cut corners" even though it was probably a smaller setting than is the "norm" for a talent of his caliber. We were set up for 350, and were close to that amount of people in attendance, even with a couple other churches close to us hosting concerts.

The personal testimony portion of the evening was riveting, and something I had never heard him share. I know that God used this portion to reach lives in a great way.

We would love to him back, yet in a larger auditorium. It's hard to believe for me, but many of the people who came had not heard of him, but said if we had him back, they would spread the word for a larger event.

On a scale of 1-10 - We give him an 11. (Can you do that?)

My wife and I saw your show at Journey Christian Church and absolutely loved it! Your routine is one of the funniest we have ever heard. Two particular things you talked about struck very close to home. First, your mention of your son being stationed at Ft. Campbell. My brother is now in Afghanistan with his unit that is attached to the 101st; his wife and kids live in Clarkesville, TN. The other is your personal testimony about not knowing whether God exists. Our son is going through that now and as we listened to you, it seemed you were describing him. I really wished he had been there to hear you speak and know others are struggling too.

You talked about your brother and father and wondering why God picked you to reveal himself to and not them. I'm sure it is because of the power of laughter that brings people together and knowing people listen when they feel good. He didn't give up on you, I pray you won't give up on your family either. There is no telling when the seed was planted and how God will cause it to grow. That is our prayer for our son too. He is 19 and doesn't think we know anything, but there are others who do care about him too and they haven't given up on him either.

The event with Jeff Allen last night was extremely successful. Jeff was just as funny as I remembered. He’s as good a comedian as anyone in the country, secular or Christian.
We had 1100 seats and sold 881 of those. With comps, about 900 in attendance. I knew Jeff was funny to me, but to sit at the back of the crowd and watch all these other people laughing until they cried really made the event rewarding. I had more people come up to me afterwards and thank me for bringing Jeff to town. Jeff’s comedy was great and he ended it with a really sobering (no pun intended) message about how God can change a life. I believe everyone there walked away with much more than a laugh. Thanks for partnering with WCQR and we look forward to working with you again. Maybe next year we can do something with the “Apostles of Comedy” event!

No doubt, you are the funniest man on the planet... and solid proof that intelligent, witty reflections on life are so much funnier than the dirt that tries to pass for comedy today. I've been on more than a few stages myself, Jeff (as a singer/songwriter) and have traveled the country for nearly 30 years performing in clubs and showcases. It is embarrassing seeing some young comedians who erroneously think they need to inject filth into their routines to get a laugh. They need to study you before going out on stage and they will clearly see a comfortable, centered man who happens to be a psychologist, a sociologist, a witness and... a very, very funny man. Jeff came to our church in Richmond back in 2000. He was the VBS "closer" on a Friday night and his comedy was absolutely hysterical. But his testimony was even more stunning. I have also shown clips from the "Bananas" series in our Men's Fraternity meetings and the guys have loved the humor.

When I purchased the "Revisited" DVD, the bonus testimony (which was in greater detail than I had heard before) struck a chord within me (several chords, actually). I was in my thirties when I was saved so I remember well the emptiness that I had.

Jeff's passion and honesty in his testimony was unbelievable! I told the guys at our church if I had not been saved before, I would be after watching his testimony. As men in our church want to reach out and really make a difference in lives of those in the community, I truly believe having Jeff come and do his comedy/testimony can and will make such an impact here. Our leadership group met last night, viewed the testimony and all agreed this is the mix best suited for our mission.

I just wanted to write you a little note letting you know how much we appreciate you. We first watched your DVD with a couple from church and found your material so true and funny. We thought "Wow, isn't this the truth!" We are married with 4 young children and are involved with different ministries in our church but also have started a ministry of our own by reaching out to new couples to our church or newly saved. Our Men's event was a great success. Everyone that I talked to, who attended the event, loved it. Jeff made people laugh so hard they were getting headaches. Who says you can't have fun in church? Jeff did an outstanding job during the serious part of the day and he really spoke to the men's hearts. He was very passionate about his story and that will always get people's attention. I have to believe that not one man left the church that day that could not relate to Jeff in one aspect or another. Jeff exceeded all my expectations; from the comedy to the testimony, he did a great job.


There were only a few men in the audience that had ever heard of Jeff before the event, but I know that of the men who attended, not one will ever forget him. We were honored to have Jeff as the main speaker at the 1st annual Men's Day Off. As one man stated after the event, "it will be hard to top this one next year."

WOW! What a fantastic evening. Jeff hit a home run, not only with his comedic presence and humorous stories but especially in sharing how Jesus Christ has changed his life. I had the honor of leading four people to Christ personally that evening and I know that many others were talking with other pastoral staff and lay leaders. We believe that many seeds have been planted in the hearts of many non-believers who were in attendance. One person said to me following the performance “I can’t believe a church would just have an evening of fun.” The little bit of time I had with Jeff after the service was a real joy. His heart for God and men and their struggles warmed my heart. All in all this was a great event!
